guys who followed Ward knew how good he was..... but one of the strongest memories I have of Andre Ward, was his ringwalk before the Kessler fight

go watch it, if you haven't seen it

he was supremely confident, very relaxed, and right in the groove..... the very first time he stepped onto the world stage

and what a HUGE stage it was..... facing a long-standing champion who was the odds-on tournament favorite to win

    outstanding

    cry bltches

but ATG is about actual achievements, you actually have to climb those mountains

some guys are unlucky because they fought in a poor era

some guys did not get those pinnacle fights, for whatever reason

Ward retired too early imo, and that 2 years inactivity hurt his roll..... if things had played differently, Ward would likely also have Golovkin, Stevenson, Bivol on his record..... which could add the 2-3 names that it may possibly take to convince historians to look harder

he was a helluva tough outing for everyone who got in the ring with him

just my 2c..... which is worth MUCH more than some of the posts in this thread are worth

and like I said earlier..... fans of a certain fighter who were ashamed when he ducked Andre Ward..... should probably not be allowed to comment in this thread LMAO

Ward did clear out 168 and win the super six, but let’s be real, there was a bunch of B-C level guys in there.

Ward unified in 2 divisions and retired undefeated, which are pretty major accomplishments, so he’s probably a future hof’er...but atg? Absolutely not.
