Shakur Stevenson wanted to return home to Newark. In front of 5,150 fans at Prudential Center, Stevenson, the WBO No. 1 contender, knocked out two-time world title challenger Alberto "Metro" Guevara (27-5, 12 KOs) in the third round of a scheduled 10-rounder.

I’d love to see that happen, Stevenson brutalises him in front of his fans

I would like to see Stevenson stop putting excuses & enroll in VADA anti doping testing like other fighters..That's the reason the fight against Socarras didn't go threw(cause Stevenson refuse to take VADA''s random doping tests) But Top Rank & Stevenson used the same old excuse that the other fighter(in this case Socarras) was asking for too much money..

Me too. He's a young athlete whose body has thickened noticably since his last amateur fight in 2016. I hope he at least enrolls in VADA when he gets a title shot. No excuses then.

If he's got a top 10 ranking his fights should have full VADA testing. Just agreeing to testing for a title shot is not a good look. But here's the root cause of the continuing problem; the coaches, managers and promoters all know what's going on but adhere to the "omerta"!

I knew there was something suspect about Stevenson. Just the way his body transformation appearance is each time you see him fight is questionable. Stevenson refusing to enroll in VADA is enough to convince that he’s been using enhancements

Did not see the mismatch. Did Shakur hit him while he was on the floor? No? That's right he only does that to defenseless individuals laying in the street. Shakur is a punk.

What a piece of crap fight

What a great junk. He beat a guy coming up in weight plus a two week notice and they celebrate that? Wow. Is that really a great achivement? HAHAHA. That is ****ing hilarius. Hey I chew a gum for five straight hours. That was really something.

Sadly, with the level of corruption in this sport, I'm su****ious of any elite fighter if he/she does not voluntarily submit to stringent year-round testing. With limited (or no) testing approved by local boxing commisions, only a threat of felony charges, not pansy suspensions, will clean up the sport. Yes, jail time for fighters/promoters/commision heads would shut it down quickly.

Shakur should be in jail. Takes swings at women and hits defenseless individuals on the ground. A criminal, if he was not a connected boxer he would be in jail.
