  • Comments Thread For: Rey Vargas: Mexicans Are Warriors, Can't Wait To Show Kameda

For as long as the matchup has been a possibility, Rey Vargas has listened to Tomoki Kameda's repeated promises of avenging an amateur loss that occurred more than a dozen years ago-along with everything else his colorful challenger has had to say along the way. The two will finally get to meet this Saturday, headlining a DAZN live****** from Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. The bout will mark the third time Vargas has played the famed venue (previously known as StubHub Center, and Home Depot Center before that), including his first-ever fight in the United States back in Aug. 2013.

My people embarrass us. Mexicans are warriors yadayadayada. I wish a Mexican boxer was more original than this.

Anyways, hope this Japanese guy knocks Vargas’ block off.

He was just speaking the truth.

What did you want him to say instead? Mexicans are pillow-fisted sissies that can't fight and run around the ring all night?

That would just be a lie.

Yeah but Japanese are warriors as well! Japan and Mexico have great history together because of both countries producing warriors who don't go down.

Now you have a japanese as part of the nature aspect, and then you have mexico as part of his nurture... in the great "nature vs nurture" argument.

Vargas is in for a double warrior coming at him

I want Vargas to lose to Kameda simply for the fact that he doesn't have the balls to fight Roman who's been calling him out repeatedly. If you have no interest in unifying then you shouldn't have that belt

I want him to tell us something we don’t know.

Maybe talk about how Japanese people are warriors as well and how the fight will be like Samurai vs Vaquero.

He said Japanese fighters are warriors and he's going to show that Mexicans are too. But somehow you were triggered by that?
