Kovalev is very soft in the middle but will Yarde get a chance to hit him? I don’t know how good Yarde is as he is been fighting bums. This is the first time we will know how good he actually is. I can’t wait.

so if he loses to kovalev that means he's not good and he's a bum? alvarez knocked kovalev out and then got schooled in the rematch is Alvarez a bum too! there's no middle ground with you idiots LOL! there's no shame in losing to kovalev who's a great fighter!

Kov is the favourite in this match up.Yarde did not fight any top opposition to really gauge where he's at, at the moment. If he manages to pull it off, it is a big win .

It’s not about Kovalev at all. I don’t think that’s what he’s saying.

Of course Kovalev is a fantastic champion.

          It’s more about Yarde.

I’ve seen him fight about 10 times and I don’t know how good he is. I doubt Yarde knows how good he is. How can anyone?

I can’t remember him taking a good shot yet and at times he has substantially outsized his opponents.

Really I don’t see how you go from never taking a good shot to being in Russia against Kovalev.

Kovalev is 100% going to hit him **** on the chin.

Common sense says that probably puts Anthony on the floor.

If Yarde beats him then the only people who really know that’s possible are him and his trainer because from the outside looking in he’s not ticked any of the usual boxes to arrive at this stage.

I know he’s athletic and punches hard. That’s it. I also know he had a tiny amateur career

Try reading and some comprehension classes before labelling others. Who said Yarde will be a bum for losing. Everyone knows Kovalev is a good fighter and if Yarde wins then he is a very good fighter. Comparisons between fighters is the only way fighters are graded. If Yarde loses it depends on how he loses. If he is completely outclassed then he isn’t good.

Finally, glad Kov stepped up and didn’t allow Alvarez to toy with his career cuz he feels he’s a doable scalp now that he’s past his prime!

Now we’ll get to see just how good Yarde is, this is legacy making stuff for Yarde!

Not much experience in the AM’s or pro’s and going into the lions dens of one of the most dangerous an skilled fighters in the world!

If I’m Kov I’m absolutely gonna tests Yarde’s chin or attack the body!

Yeah it would be difficult to come up with a fool proof prediction as to how this one will play out. I like Kov a lot. He's come back more than once to rebuild his career. And after the last fight, he's shown, under new trainer McGirt, that he can follow instructions and become more of a complete fighter. So we will see what we will see. IMO Kov gets the W, with a mid rounds stoppage. Yarde can talk all he wants, but he really hasn't fought anyone even remotely of note.

I'd like to see Frank get some of his next gen prospects on the undercard.
