Comments Thread For: Harrison To Charlo: Nobody's Scared; Rematch Will Happen In 2019

Tony Harrison is still rehabilitating his surgically repaired right ankle. It's only been a month since Harrison had his torn ligaments fixed and the WBC super welterweight champion is trying to remain patient. Harrison figures he'll be able to run by this time next month and should be able to reschedule his rematch with Jermell Charlo soon thereafter.

But that fight deserves to be its own headliner.

Speaking of the Spence/Porter undercard, at one point it was rumored for Benavidez/Dirrell to take place on the Wilder/Ortiz undercard, but that fight looks like it will be happening in November. Hopefully that means they shift it to the Spence/Porter undercard instead. This way Benavidez can get back in action in early 2020.

Smart move! I don't have a problem with Harrison pulling out, and he's right, had he fought and lost, nobody (including me) would have wanted to hear about an ankle injury!

Yeah it was already a main event for last month. It can headline the PBC Fox show in September or go to Showtime.

Good for Harrison, he's right in that nobody would care about his ankle if he had stepped in less than 100% and lost.

We know that he faked the injury. He literally said that if he wanted to get out of the fight he would just say he injured his ankle. Rumor has it he was put on his ass sparring so he opted to wait on it. Bruh been full of himself since that gift win and it appears that it has affected his performance
