Comments Thread For: Bob Arum: Kovalev-Yarde Next; Then Canelo Could Fight Kovalev

It's more likely, according to Bob Arum, that a Canelo Alvarez-Sergey Kovalev fight happens sometime in the winter than next. With little time remaining to make an Alvarez-Kovalev fight for September 14, Arum assumes Kovalev will move forward with his fight against Anthony Yarde on August 24 and Alvarez will face someone else three weeks later. The Hall-of-Fame promoter discussed that situation with IFL TV for an interview that was posted to its YouTube page Thursday.

Fine by me, the champ should face the opposition in his own division before letting his attention wander two divisions away. That goes for both Sergey and Canelo.

Now we can have Canelo/Lemieux for the WBA regular and everyone can say how Canelo tried to be great, but Kovalev ducked him!

How about Clenelo defend his 2 belts at 160 instead?

Kovalev/Yarde should be next. The fight has been talked about for awhile and already postponed. In a perfect world Kovalev, Bivol, Beterbiev, Gvozdyk, and Browne would fight it out for supremacy. Too much politics in the game for it to happen

It better not be lemule. Fishnets would get lynched this time,he might even enjoy it if those doing the lynching used egg beaters as probes

If the only two options are Andrade and Mungia then I hope it's Demetrius. Canelo will probably destroy Mungia who is way too easy to hit. The kid needs to work on his defense before he can fu.k with the top guys.

WE would lynch him, but the casuals would just look at a few clips of Lemule KO'ing people like Spike and think it's a good fight.

Would Mungia be a better option? Both guys are not worthy at this point. Andrade or Charlo make the most sense!

I wouldn't want to see Lemieux OR Munguia.

Not sure who I do want to see him fight tbh, just know who I don't want haha
