You’re right. I forgot the bald guy was actually demanding 147.

I don't like title fights fought at a catchweight. Catchweights are fine with me if it is not a title fight. If a boxer wants to be the champion he should do it at the full traditional weight. If he is already the champion he should defend the title at the full traditional weight.

Cotto at 145 was the only catch weight of Manny’s I did not like. These would be similar.

But Manny isn’t doing that, he’s fighting the best undefeated resume at 147 with no bs

Are you saying Mayweather was willing to fight Canelo at 154 but Canelo insisted the fight be at 152? That makes no sense at all. Canelo wanted 154 but Mayweather said 152 or no fight. The catchweight was all Mayweather's idea. Why would Canelo demand to drain himself?????

they offered a catchweight, so Ellerbe jumped on it

Manny ducked Spence to pick a guy they think is broken, dont glorify an attempted cherry pick while he ducks the guy he called out that wanted the fight only for Manny to run away looking for broken fighters.

Yes, after fighting as high as 150, and campaigning at 147 for so long, it would be really hard to justify him trying to drain full fledged welterweights.
