Comments Thread For: Whyte: It's a F***ing Joke That The WBO Bumped Fury Above Me!

Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte is still steaming made, after the WBO made Oleksandr Usyk the mandatory challenger to current world champion Andy Ruiz, who also holds the WBA, IBF, IBO titles. Usyk, who moved up from the cruiserweight division after unifying the four major titles, petitioned to become the mandatory challenger and he was approved by the WBO.

After fury’s impressive win over German Painter decorator Swartz it’s no surprise he’s shot up the rankings

“He’s looking at Ruiz Jr and thinking ‘I can beat him’ but he wasn’t saying that when Joshua was champion, was he?"”

Yes he was. That was pretty much the whole spiel about his proposed move to heavyweight AGES ago.

Whyte is making himself look more and more ****** with his toddler temper tantrums.

I get he’s upset but he’s embarrassing himself. He’s be better off going and smashing up all comers until they can’t ignore him. He’s not actually good enough to do that though and so is desperate to cash in his chips now.

While I don't like Whyte as a boxer, I can understand his anger. Usyk should prove he can fight at hw level (I'm sure he can) before a Championship fight.

Btw, Usyk is the only fighter that imo can put Fury in trouble. He's way smaller, but very fast and precise. And has an incredible stamina.

Of course Fury should be ranked higher than Whyte but he was right about the WBO rankings being a joke.

Whyte seems to have real trouble knowing rules of the sanctioning bodies, not always the brightest guy.

Under the WBO rules a champion in another weight class that's unified can get a mandatory spot going into other weight class.

Whyte declined the Joshua fight so he should've known his mando spot was in danger should Usyk activate his own standings on it.

Cry,cry ,cry ….a lesson learned NEVER decline a title shot and for FOUR belts if you are not willing to wait and then not assume someone else like Fury jumps over you when you know these rankings are a joke at times.

Whyte is 100% right here. If Fury or Usyk were in Whyte's situation their respective fans would be complaining like crazy.

Imagine if Whyte had a draw with Wilder then 3 wins against bums... Even before the Wilder fight it made no sense Fury fighting bums. What kind of preparation are they for a high level fighter??
