  • Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: Joshua Should Regroup, Not Take Ruiz Rematch

Tyson Fury's promoter Frank Warren has questioned rival Anthony Joshua's ability to regain his place among the world's leading heavyweight boxers. Warren urged the Londoner not to take a rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr, who defeated him in New York earlier this month as a late replacement following Jarrell Miller's positive drug test.

Still talking about Anthony 'A Side' Joshua.

Frank Warren knows the money is getting ****** out of the division without him. Fury can't keep fighting bums forever whilst getting paid.

If Deyonce somehow loses to Ortiz then damn, you are gonna need to actually make a competitive fight, and that means paying the opponent.

Hmmm, let me think.... Is Fish Eyes concerned over Joshua's wellbeing and future, or is he thinking as a rival promoter, "The longer the division's cash-cow is out of action, the greater chance we have to steal a march on them"?

        AJ can’t do that.

It’s the only chance for him and Hearn/Sky/DAZN etc. To get their hands back on the belts.

If they give up the rematch and let the belts end up in the hands on of PBC fighters, then AJ and Hearn won’t be seeing them again.

WTF he’s smoking??? Ruiz just fought so he basically had 2 camps not just 5 weeks. AJ had the long layoff and didn’t come prepared

Ruiz was in actual better fighting shape than AJ was having fought a month before. AJ hadn't fought for nine months which I was never cool with..but sure thing Frank.

Everyone who doesn't like Joshua or who previously wanted him to fail - always says he shouldn't take the Ruiz fight next... Su****ious?

It's because if he wins he gets all his belts back and becomes more bankable than any of their fighters, who lets face it, despite all the talk have next-to-zero belts.

                AJ can't do that.

Can't run from an obese dude that eats snickers all of the time.

Running from the rematch would only hurt his image even more.

It’s risky business taking a rematch but it’s got to be done

Joshua needs to start fighting more often if he manages get past Ruiz

9 months between fights is too long
