Definitely a victory if it gets the top five heavy weights to start fighting each other instead of dancing around each other with lesser opponents.

Agreed, it was a great victory for all of boxing. A victory because we saw the first Mexican American heavyweight champ, a victory because America has all the belts, a victory because haymon and the PBC has all the belts in America, a victory because fast Eddie was knocked down and Matchroom took a gigantic loss, and a victory because it knocked down all the goofy little casuals who came to boxing strictly because of Eddie Hearn manipulation.

Keep up the training. You never know, you may be champ one day. Right now I'm eating an ice cream sandwich, hope to be up to a bucket of fried chicken by July.

It's a victory for the fat losers.

Men should aspire to look like AJ, not Andy Ruiz.

Victory for Mexico, absolutely but victory for everyone? C'mon now, that's some serious bulls-hit. Having somebody like AJ as the HW champ is much better for boxing than Andy Ruiz.

Why is that? I would argue that more people know who the heavyweight champ of the world is this week than did two weeks ago.

AJ's looks is a big part of his popularity. With his incredible physique, he's a HW champ who looks the part. He looks like most people want the HW champion to look like and attract a lot of people who aren't even boxing fans. I mean, there's a reason why no current boxer has as many followers as him on instagram. AJ has star quality written all over him and that makes him good for boxing.
