I am no GGG fan, but I don't think that's bad considering the opponent.

Not bad, according to Tom's friend, Dougie Fischer.

Well GGG fans are the ones pretending like he is the same level as canelo. Now apparently he's not even on Joshua level either in the US. And it's not just canelo and Joshua who have sold more then GGG lately in fights billed as huge mismatches. Spence, Wilder, canelo, Joshua, etc. Spence did more then that for ocampo.

Canelo fought against Fielding a stay busy fight where everyone knew he would win too in this same building. Why canelo sell out over 20K showed up why GGG only had 12K and that's with them literally giving thousands of tickets away for free? Of course if GGG fights canelo it will sell because of Canelo. Rolls and Vanes fight prove GGG can't sell east coast or west coast without canelo lol

They kept saying AJ sold out the Garden but the seats weren't filled. When GGG fought Lemieux at the garden they couldn't stop showing what the crowd looked like. No crowd shots for AJ-Ruiz

They probably sold HALF as many tickets as the number above. There was no market or demand for these tickets. I put the over under for real tickets sold at 5,000. Anywhere from 5,000-7,000 are tickets that were given away for free. If anyone can get their hands on the official live gate from the commission that will be pure comedy gold.
Commission responded to me saying they don't keep records of ticket sales or gate revenue. But you can have FOIL requests and get access to some tax forms that give you revenue information. I'll do it sometime this week along with other recent NY cards.

Not just the no name opponent, but also a week after Joshua just fought at MSG. Honestly the number is fine considering everything. GGG tickets have always been cheap compared to other stars. Dude had a sell out or close to a sell out vs Lemieux and the live gate was around $2M.

Not sure what folks expected here.

Canelo sold 15k against Jacobs. That's not that great considering

In Vegas lol...with a live gate that was the 30th highest ever. In Vegas almost none of Floyd fights sold out all did about only about 15-16K in tickets sold and all broke all time live gate numbers because it's about revenue generated not about sell outs. 12k in Vegas with crazy ticket prices wouldn't be bad but in NYC with dirt cheap ticket prices that's weak. GGG won't even release a live gate for the rolls fight because they likely sold only 5k tickets for little money. Canelo Jacobs generated 9M off over 15K actual ticket sales which is more more then 3x GGG'S highest live gate other then when he fought Canelo. matter fact GGG can't even fight in Vegas without canelo they kicked that vanes fight the phuk out the state. lmao
