Comments Thread For: Jamal James vs. Antonio DeMarco Set For July 13 In Minneapolis

Jamal James officially has an opponent for his latest homecoming appearance. The 6'2" welterweight returns to his Minneapolis (Minn.) hometown for his fourth straight fight, as he next faces former lightweight titlist Antonio DeMarco. Their bout will take place July 13 at a location to be determined-likely the Minneapolis Armory, where his last three fights have taken place-in a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on FS1 main event.

I'd like to see James step up the level of his opposition soon. He's beginning to stagnate.

I agree! He is with Haymon and the PBC side so fighting low tier fighters won't cut it. Rematch with Ugas would be a great fight. Fighting a Danny Garcia or Figuerora or something.

But if he is top ten fighting fighters past their best doesn't prepare you for the top guys.

I'm simply shocked DeMarco is even still fighting. He's not old, but he's been through hell.
