  • Comments Thread For: Joshua-Ruiz Weigh-In Results From Madison Square Garden

NEW YORK Anthony Joshua was his usual sculpted self as he stepped on the scale Friday afternoon at Madison Square Garden. The 6-feet-6 Joshua, of Watford, England, weighed in at 247 pounds for his fight Saturday night against Andy Ruiz Jr. The 6-feet-2 Ruiz was 268 pounds when he got on the NYSAC's scale.

    Madness.

Josh is closer to his natural weight (I prefer him being 245) and he's going to be supremely fast and fluid. I don't think this will go past 2rds.

Ruiz is a bit too heavy, but boy if he can land clean behind that 268 it spells trouble for Joshua.

This is a joke, Ruiz will look like a heavy bag in there once this goes past 1 or 2 rounds. Joshua is on a totally different level.

268, this guy is 210 if he gets in shape.

Carrying 60 pounds of fat ain't going to do jack to help him in there.

I missed it, did they have Ruiz weigh in at the truck scale?

Ruiz outweighs Joshua by 20 pounds, will take some punishment before he'll go down.

I believe Joshua will pot shot him from a distance. Get him in trouble and hit him with that uppercut.

Fast is only meaningful if he can get past AJ’s stuff arm jab. This feels like Tyson verses Lewis all over again.

Good Luck to Him tomorrow though he does have Fast Hands and he is TOUGH but AJ will prove to be too Big Too Powerful
