All you hater's are missing out on a VERY fun heavyweight! Say what you want about his skill, but that boy can hit with ANYONE in history one punch for one punch.Loved the way he spun around BEFORE Breazeale even hit the ground when you hit a guy like that no need to even watch.Go back, close your eyes, and just listen. And anyone who is rooting against EITHER of these guys don't give 2 sh its about the sport because this fight(AJ V Wilder) is the best possible thing that can happen for our sport, the only thing better would be a trilogy between them.
Could hear the pop with just one bar of volume from an ipad
I think most of his punch arsenal is actually quite average, he doesn't have a particularly heavy jab, I'm not sure I can even recall seeing a good uppercut from him and his left hook is maybe slightly above average for a heavyweight. That said that's completely overshadowed because his right cross hits like a tomahawk missile. I think that one punch might be up there as one of the most devastating shots in boxing history, in fact it may prove to be the single most devastating one in time. I don't want to get my hopes up too high that him and Joshua will fight any time soon after the *****show "negotiations" in 2018 but damn it, I really want it.
Yea great KO, but best part was how he set it up with the throw away left hooks to get Hasim to move his head into LL right.Boy the Brits will go nuts over this, but Wilder hits harder then Lewis, not rated as high(at least yet)but he hits harder one punch for one punch.
I watched Lennox Lewis live vs Golota and I promise you, you think Wilder hits hard? Every punch Lewis threw echod into the entire Arena, I was about 70ft away and could hear the Thuds off everything Lewis landed.
Sorry but when Lewis hit you, it was good night. He ripped half of Vitalis face off with punches in the last fight of his career. A prime iron faced Vitali.
Lewis would also time his punches and set them up skilfully so that you wouldn't even see it coming, that makes for far more devastating power than untimed wild haymakers. Look what a 3 year coked up.obese lay off Tyson Fury did to Wilder, he made him miss 99.99% of the fight and when he managed to land his perfect punch Tyson got up and Wilder had no answer.
Fury really got robbed that night, most objective people agree, no one came away from that fight saying Wilder is a good boxer.
I think Wilder would have benefited greatly from some Kronk Gym training. Imagine Wilder with Emmanuels offensive teaching, he fits the Tommy Hearns mould perfectly and Emmanuel would have him hitting people right on the button with timed jab to the body over hand rights to the chin.
Basically Wilder is brute brute force and power, he's a phenom in that he's such a devastating punched he's not needed to learn boxing or timing, until he met Fury.
Lewis hits harder because of timing+the set up of his bone breaking punches.
If Wilder had great timing and punch set up he'd probably be the hardest hitting heavyweight of all time.
But he doesn't and doesn't seem willing to learn.
No hate I enjoy his fights he's a beast but I walk away from his fights disappointed because I know if he's had a guy like Emmanuel or even Roach he'd be undisputed best. He'd put Tyson away as soon as he had him hurt if he has the proper training.

Nice post, but I disagree on the jab and his hook. His jab is very good when he uses it the last two fights before this were against the two hardest guys to land a jab on a southpaw with 300 AM fights and a 6-9 switchhitter. He would not land that st8 right so good without it check out the way he came out in 2nd Stieverne fight it was smoking. His hook I think is below average its wide and he is better off not throwing it for most part. His uppercut is slightly better its the only improvement in his punch arsenal that ive seen.He really is a two trick pony, but that right is one of the biggest punches in history your right.People love to sh it on him but that st8 right when hidden behind a snappy jab REALLY is something to behold.

Nice well thought out post!Well we will just have to agree to disagree on his power compared to Lewis. One punch for one punch I think Wilder hits harder then Lewis.Im not saying he is the better fighter im just talking POWER in one shot.I could not agree more on the Kronk gym and Manny.Manny is MAYBE the best offensive trainer ever and what you want if your Wilder or his people is to be the closest you can get to a 220pd Hearns. If he had close to that kind of skills he would be unbeatable almost at heavy. He does have a good jab, but it can be improved and that's the key to landing the st8 right. The right hand(or left on a southpaw)is the hardest punch to land as it is the furthest away from your opponent and the key is to hide it behind that jab. Also having Tommy's left hook to body would be devastating.Manny would be his dream trainer, I know Breland is also that kind of fighter(poor mans version of Hearns) but he has not been able to get thru to him maybe its his personality he is too laid back I think to have gotton thru to him.I also disagree on Fury being robbed that word is thrown around to much.ESPN or THE RING had a story right after fight where they polled 14 KNOWN experts/writers and they had it 6-3-5 meaning more thought he DID NOT WIN then thought he WON.Now one of those guys was unknown and was listed from PBC so you can throw that out, same as asking Warren so it would be 6-2-5 STILL more had it even or for Wilder then Fury that's not a robbery at all.Dan Rafeal had it for Wilder and so did K Iole I think. There was too many rds where not much happened for anyone to cry robbery I had it 114-114 I had Fury up 6-2 after 8 but after that I just gave him the 10th(which was prob his best rd). Also although there not perfect the punchstats had Fury out landing him by 13 punches and I think Fury out landed him by 10 or so in 10th so that's 3 more punches over the other 11rds.I have NO PROBLEM with anyone thinking Fury won, but a robbery is a step too far imo.
