Comments Thread For: Arum: Wilder vs. Fury Rematch More Likely For March or April

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is mapping out the year for heavyweight Tyson Fury. Back in December, Fury fought to a controversial twelve round split draw with WBC champion Deontay Wilder. A deal for a rematch was really close, but Fury unexpectedly signed co-promotional contract with Top Rank - who have an exclusive content deal with ESPN.

Now..later..just make it sooner rather than later. Fury won the 1st match, imo, and I belive he will do much better the second time. Wilder will lose nothing if he loses. Neither do. They manned up and fought and the right times in their careers. The same will never be said about the other bloke that holds a few trinkets.

No way do they let him fight WILDER for next 2yrs. FURY will fight a few Uber drivers b4 they let WILDER flatten him with that right hand.

I'll take the over on Wilder vs Fury II happening before April 30, 2020.

I have minimum faith that Arum can make that fight as I do with Arum making any big fight where he gots to deal with another platform or promoter. He's gonna want it to be ESPN or not at all. And if they do decide to split it between Showtime & ESPN PPV I suspect that deal will take some extra time to work out so it might happen in 2020, but not in the first 4 months.

Would rather see Joshua vs Fury. Fury already beat Wilder in the minds of 95% of the public.

Fury isnt going to fight anyone relevant and will stink up ESPN+ until next year. Wilder will at least be in entertaining exciting fights against better competition. I take the Over on April 2020 as well

Think it's less than 50/50 we ever see the rematch

Maybe in your mind. You don't get KD 2 times in a fight have 3-4 toss up rounds and really think your going to take the title from the Champ.

I think maybe 50% of people thought Fury won, Another 30% thought the draw was fair, and the other 20% thought the fight should of been waived off when Fury went down in the 12th.
