Comments Thread For: Korobov: I Felt Heavy, Not Sharp Enough, I Have Things To Work On

Fairfax, ******ia - In the opening television bout middleweight contenders Matt Korobov of Orotukan, Russia and Immanuwel Aleem of East Meadow, N.Y. stalked each other for 10 rounds. They took turns pressing the action and playing the aggressor, dishing out and absorbing the best that each had to offer. In the end Korobov (29-2, 14 KOs) and Aleem (18-2-1, 11 KOs) had fought to a majority draw.

That's the feeling you get after you've been robbed in broad daylight. Confusion and self doubt, when everybody saw what happened, but a handful of crooks run the show.

I'm actually amazed how Korobov was able to beat Usyk, Kovalev, Beterbiev in the amateurs. Ring rust might have affected his career permanently. His chin is suspect too.

I would love to see Korobov vs. Hurd @ 160! They both have a lot to prove! A lot of questions to be answered!

Korobov seem to have some severe stamina issues. After six or seven rounds he's done.

Korobov is a tough customer. He did very well against Charlo. So I think that's a bit critical.. It's unfortunate his career has played out the way it has.

Of all the Haymon fighters, Korobov seems to be one of the most active ones. Didn't we just see him fight Jermall recently? The rate he's going he's gonna get one or two more fights before the year is out.

                Kudos to Korobov.

                  I agree.

Korobov's also staying very active. I like that in fighters, unlike some of my favorites.
