Comments Thread For: Berchelt is Open To Facing Loma or Ito-Herring Winner Next

With a victory on Saturday, Miguel "El Alacran" Berchelt will have many enticing options available. The Cancun, Mexico native faces Francisco "Bandido" Vargas (25-1-2) in Tucson, Arizona in a rematch of their January, 2017 fight that Berchelt won via 11th round knockout. The fight was very close on the scorecards at the time of the stoppage with judge having the bout even. The fight tops an ESPN doubleheader that also includes WBO super bantamweight champion Emanuel Navarrete facing Isaac Dogboe in an immediate rematch of their December fight that Navarrete won via unanimous decision.

I wonder if Loma is going to drop back down to 130 after unifying at 135. There are some good fights to be made there, and unifying two divisions would be a nice achievement for his legacy.

Glad to see Berchelt talking Loma! No, he's not using Loma's name to boost his profile! He's a credible opponent, and if he wins tonight, I think they should make the fight! MAN UP!

Salido used all the tricks in the book and came out with the win... blueprint has been drawn... I'm confident Berchelt can replicate it and better yet... he can do an even better job against lomachenko... make this fight happen... Alacran will sting and his sting will be leathal.

He could beat Loma. Obviously he doesn't match Loma boxing wise and he probably knows it so he'll try to clip him

Loma will get to beat @140. Below that I dont think so. In 140 he will find guys that are used to get hit by naturals 140 + . Fighters that starts their journey @140 finish their careers @ 154 + .

Berchelt never wanted that Loma fight - may be, in the future, at 135, etc

What if Lomachenko unifies 135 and comes down to 130 in 2020? Davis and Berchelt will definitely move up

He looked like he'd packed on some muscle against Crolla so I don't think it'd be a smart idea at his age. Berchelt and Tank will inevitably end up at 135 anyway
