As BoxingScene.com reported earlier this week, Oleksandr Usyk was forced to postpone his heavyweight debut against Carlos Takam after suffering a bicep injury. The undisputed IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO cruiserweight champion was scheduled to face Takam in Maryland on May 25.

Looking forward to seeing we're Usyk fits into the heavy weight division.
I think he will outbox Takam for the first 6 then increase the tempo for a 10th rnd tko/ko.

I think he outboxes almost any of these stiffs at Heavyweight. The only question is going to be how well he takes a Heavyweight punch because he will get touched.

I wonder if it will still be Takam, or if they'll have to find another opponent?
Takam's decent but not exactly a big guy; he's not a great yardstick for fighting the likes of Joshua, Wilder or Fury who are all over 6'6".
If they're going along the route of being made WBO Mandatory, why not fight someone high in their rankings to cement the spot? Whyte, Fury, Rivas and Schwarz are all tied up; not sure what planned for the others ranked above Takam? Zhang, Ortiz, Spong, Fa, Fujimoto and Kabayal are all bigger blokes than Takam, and all decent fighters to go with it.

He will return on the Loma vs. Campbell card in late August/September. But faces another opponent.

Takam will most likely fight Hunter on May 25th in Vegas. So Usyk maybe against Chisora, Povetkin,Allen/Price,Parker etc.

Not sure if Allen/Price winner will get the fight, but could definitely see Povetkin or Parker being in the opposite corner. Povetkin would be the better sell what with it being Ukraine-Russia and the better boxer, but Parker is the bigger guy so could be considered a better yardstick for the monsters of the division.
Hunter-Takam should be a decent fight to watch as well, 2 smaller yet savvy HW's who can both **** a bit.

True Coldwell doesn't want Chisora to face Usyk. So at the end Usyk vs. Povetkin or Parker.
