Pretty much letter for letter this. I do not think Ruiz will win. Heck, I do not think he will push Joshua that hard. But the guy is a fantastic opponent for the last second situation they are in. He will use the skills he has to put an honest effort in. He will box, he will move. At least it will be a legit match against an opponent who has boxed at the top level.I find it amusing, and a little pathetic, so many people denigrate Ruiz for his appearance but ignore the fact that he can flat out fight. It's easy and lazy to ridicule him for his appearance.
Ruiz had the cajones to step in and accept the fight knowing the payday will help secure and his family's future. I fully expect him to try and win; he has some skills and essentially fought Joseph Parker on even terms.
I would have preferred to see Ortiz but that's not Ruiz' fault and I hope he can make a compelling fight out of it.
People need to appreciate this for the decent fight it is under the circumstances.Comment

"The unbeaten Joshua has been frustrated in his pursuit of a unification bout with WBC strap holder Deontay Wilder and has not been in the ring since knocking out Alexander Povetkin last September."
By the way, anyone else catch that nice little gem at the end of this write up? No bias there.

And I can assure you that Ruiz pudgy boy will not come to survive like Parker did, he will fight to the end/KO and I think his speed is gonna give artificial muscle man, a/k/a Joshua lots of trouble at the start of the fight, till he figures him out maybe 3rd or 4th round.I just don't see an avenue to victory here for Ruiz. He can punch but he is not a huge puncher. He doesn't seem to have anymore stamina than Joshua so unless Joshua does something ****** I doubt Ruiz can outlast him either.
But I thought Ruiz beat Parker, so there's that anyway.Last edited by whoseyourdaddy; 04-30-2019, 07:28 PM.Comment

Get your boy to man up and fight then! I used to think it was Joshua to blame for not making the fight but I see now, is the other way around, PBC fighters (excluding Ruiz) acting like divas.
The worse part of it all is that this so called divas can't draw flies for sh¥t, I remember Ortiz saying he was leaving GBP because he wasn't getting the big fights...… Well he got the biggest fight of his life and what does he do?????

I appreciate the fact that Ruiz, although he looks like a lazy slob, will come to fight. The problem is he is over-matched to a point I think he has a 1% chance to win at best. If he was disciplined in his training, he wouldn't look like he does. Best of luck to him though.,Pretty much letter for letter this. I do not think Ruiz will win.
