Comments Thread For: Abdullaev Promoter: We Plan To Fight Luke Campbell For WBC Title

With the World Boxing Council (WBC) lightweight title now up for grabs, the team behind top-rated contender Luke Campbell has already begun making plans to fill the void. The Brit's place as first in line is well-secured; attempting to dictate whom he faces, however, is leaving his team grasping a little too far beyond reach.

Aaaaaawwwww man. It's not like we don't know what the outcome of the fight is going to be. I wanted to see Haney get the fight. Oh well. Who knows this guy might pull it off SMH

The only logical way is for Campbel vs Abdul for WBC, winner defends against Devin. This way you get 2 good fights with Luke instead of just one if going straight to Luke vs Devin for WBC, and (hopefully) Luke at least gets the chance to hold WBC belt.

I know that Abdullaev is not what the WBC wants, but anything else is foul! That's what you get for ranking him so high! Hindsight is 20/20!

Hopefully the WBC orders Campbell vs. Lomachenko. Otherwise we won't be getting an undisputed champion at 135 for a while.

LOL, Eddie tried to push Abdullaev out using Ramadan as his excuse. Now wait for the WBC to release their new rankings just in time to move either Haney or Teofimo Lopez up to the #2 spot before they order the fight for the vacant belt. Bigger purses, more money for the WBC.

Just thinking, if the WBC was going to just make up the rules on the fly just to maximise their fee income (which would be in character), they would go for Loma v Campbell straight out of the gate. Loma's is where the moneys at.

If the man is available then we would all be a hypocrite if we don’t say anything about him getting his chance.
