Comments Thread For: Joe Joyce Not Sold on Facing Dubois: He Has Much More To Gain

Olympic silver medal winner Joe Joyce is not fully sold on facing fellow undefeated heavyweight Daniel Dubois. Earlier this week, the British Boxing Board of Control revealed that terms have been agreed for Joyce to Dubois for the British heavyweight title. And then it was revealed that Joyce had signed a co-promotional agreement with Frank Warren, who also handles Dubois.

A 50/50 with Joshua, whose he kidding, he’s looked awful his last outings, totally limited. AJ would KO him inside 3 Rounds, Whyte would smash him inside 6.

it depends, if joyce ends up making a step up in his next fight and fights a decent ranked opponent thats fair enough, but if hes fighting a bum then he cant say 'oh well dubois is a level below'

Whyte beating up Joyce ? Don't envision that and Joshua knows how tough Joyce is from sparring him hundreds of rounds. Joyce will be a legit threat for anyone.

Joyce is looking to get a title shot. DDD doesn't do that because he holds no spot , defeating Kabayal is a chess move and far easier fight .

He should stay in line. There are many guys in better position. Whyte, Fury, Ortiz, Pulev, Kownacki, Ruiz jr..

Even usyk will be in better position if he beats Takam.

Joyce needs one more win against someone like Szpilka, Hammer, Washington, Duhaupas..

Joyce is second in line for mando spot for Joshua , so no. He's in better position then Fury, Kownacki ...those guys don't want Joshua.

Should Ortiz fall through he's in no position. Usyk is already a mando so is Pulev , so those are the only two who are in better position , if guys keep running Joyce will get one sooner then later.

Joyce is 8-0, with 1 good win, signed by Warren and he wants Joshua. good luck with that.

Most likely he will be next victim of Fury for fictional "lineal championship".

It's apparent that Joyce/Dobois is now off the radar so the BBBofC need to call an extraordinary meeting to get the situation sorted out "Quick smart" & decide whether to match Dubois with another opponent or sanction the rumoured Price/Allen contest.
