Comments Thread For: Khan: I'm Written Off More For Crawford Fight Than Canelo Fight

NEW YORK Amir Khan can sense that even fewer fans believe he can beat Terence Crawford than gave him a chance three years ago to upset Canelo Alvarez. "I've been written off so badly for this fight, even more than the Canelo fight," Khan told BoxingScene.com following a press conference Wednesday at Madison Square Garden. "But it's good because I think the win's gonna be even bigger and better because of that."

False. Not a soul thought he would beat Canelo. In fact, there were genuine concerns for his safety...and it ended literally as catastrophic as we knew it would. It was never a contest.

At least with Crawford theyre the same size and Crawford was basically going life and death woth a one legged guy. Khan has a “shot” against Crawford. It’s far off...but Against Canelo he was a literal sacrifice.

There was no need to talk about the Canelo fight. Everyone knew you would get knocked out

I've already written him off in the Kell Brook fight that won't ever happen.

And with good reason, Terence IS #1. P4P after-all. The numbers don't lie : currently Terence Crawford is -1250 on the Money-line, now you look at the Vegas odds for Amir Khan vs. Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in 2016, Canelo was -450.

So what does this mean? That this is a greater challenge for Amir Khan.

That's not true but you ARE written off.

Prove us wrong if you can.

                Did Crawford hurt your feelings?

                You wanna talk about it?

There's such reckless abandon with this guys mouth and fighting that you wonder why he doesn't get some good advice. Crawford is even keeled and confident, while Khan is a sporadic character trying to convince himself thru these interviews that he is where he's supposed to be. He may be even more exciting to watch fight than Bud, but with that excitement comes highlight reel KO's and excuse filled post fight duds.

TC is a much better boxer than Canelo, Khan won't get away with what he was doing to Nelo. I really don't think Kahn has a hope in hell on winning this one, I wish it never was made. Khan really shouldn't be fighting for a world title what has he done to deserve as of late?

Two home soil fights against a guy who is not even in the top 100 and then a guy who is just in the top 50. This is surely not the right way we should be going about deciding who gets the shot. This whole fight is just another home brewing from that big crook Bob Arum.
