For The Record: Yes, I'm buying Crawford/Khan PPV. Here's why - and it's simple.

You know, as well as I do, that this fight is easily the highest quality fight so far of 2019. DAZN has put out stinker after stinker and won't really have a decent fight until Joshua/Miller. Their service is so bad it might actually be more cost effective to just sign up for the months there are decent fights - which would probably come out to less than $99 anyway.

Meanwhile, you can make all the statements and excuses about Amir Khan. You can question whether Crawford's a P4P like I do. But here's the deal.

Amir Khan has been in there with quality fighters. Crawford, not so much. Even Max Kellerman and Stephen A Smith say he "passes the eye test" just like a bunch of cats on here. Spence repeatedly says no, Thurman repeatedly says no. Manny didn't even want to fight him.

But "at the end of the day", we're going to see a very good fight. Amir Khan brings it every time he's in there. Crawford has dominated all but one opponent. Their styles are a perfect clash for a very interesting matchup - and it will answer questions about Crawford that we don't have answers for right now.

So yes, I will buy it. And I'll do the live scorecard again as that seemed to get positive feedback from those who couldn't watch the fight.

Anyone who has thousands in the bank criticizing paying for boxing should be ashamed of themselves, frankly.

Think I've paid for 1 or 2 PPV's ever, seen a couple at bars and in theaters. Everything else I've streamed or not watched and that will be the case again with this card

I'm buying it because I enjoy watching boxing. Its my favorite sport. As I've said before mother****ers are the first to cry about some **** yet the first to skitter to the internet like a roach to steal it.

I won't buy it, but its definitely more worth your money than Spence-Garcia was and not just because its cheaper.

Check the **** state the UK scene is in, terrible regular cards, everything good on PPV. They even expect us to pay for this fight at 4am. US is literally headed down the same path, regular cards rapidly declining, PPVs on the increase. Yet you guys have the alternative and all can do is complain about it.

They got some good names on the undercard. I'm not hating the effort, but the ppv model is just too easy to go around nowadays. And if streaming wasn't an option, the matchup just isn't ppv worthy.

At least that was two guys in their prime fighting. To me that makes it worth the cost.

I'd love to support something LIKE DAZN but they need to get with the program on VPNs and they need more quality fights. Until they do both it's not worth the money they're asking.

You had me at, "You know as well as I do..."

The fight will be entertaining but at the end of the day it's a garbage fight. Khan isn't who he used to be and he wasn't that good in the first place. Crawford is probably the best fighter in the world right now.

You know as well as I do Khan isn't winning the fight. I'm not even sure it will be competitive at any point.

                    Quoted.

I don't recall if you were one of the cats who kept screaming that Manny was going to put Jeff 'The Hornet' Horn to sleep inside of 8 rounds because it was a garbage fight. We saw what eventually happened.

As I said in the other thread. Anything other than a KO or CLEAN TKO before round 9 for Crawford means he's not "the best fighter in the world", he's not P4P, he's just another fighter. Since you guys think so little of Khan, a guy Danny Garcia got out of there in 4 rounds, Crawford should easily be able to do better.

And that is what you're paying for - to see if Crawford IS that good, or if he gets taken the distance by this guy you all think is a bum, clearly he's not as good as you think he is. But we need to find out. And I'm willing to pay not to deal with crappy image quality streams where you can't tell if a punch landed or not.
