Comments Thread For: Arum: Crawford Can't Try To Out-Box Khan, Or Khan Has A Shot

Bob Arum acknowledged Amir Khan's chin is the primary reason most potential consumers consider Khan incapable of upsetting Terence Crawford on April 20. Arum also asserted that Crawford cannot attempt strictly to out-box the former IBF/WBA 140-pound champion in their 12-round, 147-pound title bout a week from Saturday night in New York. According to Arum, whose company promotes Crawford, that strategy will grant England's Khan a greater opportunity to edge Crawford in a fight Crawford has been installed as a 16-1 favorite to win by numerous odds-makers.

Crawford is a better boxer than Khan. If TC is just looking for one big shot all night to knock out Khan with he may never get it. He should just focus on winning rounds and if the knockout comes it comes. Good thing Bob isn't a trainer.

      July 16, 2016:

Amir Khan means absolutely nothing in the United States,” Arum told Telegraph Sport. “He brought over no people for the Canelo fight. He saved the Brits a lot of agony.

“He is not a draw on PPV in England. He is looked upon on both sides of the pond as yesterday’s news, and yet he refuses to recognise that and feels that his value is very, very high, which it is not."

What changed since 2016, when Khan was chasing Pacquiao?

Crawford outboxes everyone before he stops them.

What changed is that Arum is now promoting a fight between one of his fighters and Khan, and needs to sell the fight to the public. Promoters contradict themselves all the time. Why do you ask questions you already know the answer to?

I seriously can not see Crawford easily winning this fight. Khan has speed, the height, weight, and the reach advantage.

I think Crawford is going to need a knockout. Yes khan has a infamous chin that only a mother could love but khan has a lot of advantages in this fight.

I think Crawford is going to have a really tough time or end up losing if he doesn’t KO khan.

I see Khan coming out fast and sharp like always but as the fight goes on he’ll get tired and start slowing down and making mistakes and Bud will start picking him apart eventually stopping him.

Crawford needs to go hard to his body to make him drop his hands and touch his chin and goodnight!!

Wouldn’t be surprised if khan leading on scorecards before Crawford stops him
