Comments Thread For: Brandon Figueroa vs. Yonfrez Parejo Now For WBA-Interim Belt

Mexican-American Brandon Figueroa received confirmation that on April 20 he will compete with Yonfrez Parejo in California for the interim-super bantamweight championship of the World Boxing Association, hoping to add a new title for the family, after his brother Omar conquered the lightweight of the World Boxing Council years ago.

The WBA is a joke handing out these belts for no reason. Danny Roman is fighting on April 26th there is no need to create an interim title when the champion is active.

Nice! I think this will be a break out year for Brandon, this would put him in position for a shot at the winner of Danny Roman vs TJ Doheny which is a excellent unification fight that not many are talking about

Here we go again with the WBA and their piece of shet secondary belts.....
They already have a champion at super bantamweight so why the fucc they keep creating all these piece of shet secondary belts???
A few years ago they were saying they was gonna reduce belts to only have one champion per division..
Guess that plan went out the window,...
        Fucc the WBA!

Murodjon Akhmadaliev is the WBA #1 and he would beat Figueroa right now. Figueroa is tall and long but for some reason decides to fight just like his brother on the inside. I don't understand it. He's powerful but looks very sloppy.

The kid is just a straight savage in the ring, he seems to enjoy punishing his opponents and delivers with pure unadulterated high octane violence!

Love his engine and relentless body attack! He could be a problem if he continues to get better!

Yeah I remember Akhmadaliev from the Amatures as well as the Olympics, lost to Robeisy Ramirez in the Semi's in the Olympics. One of many up and coming Uzbekistan Fighters on the rise that I do think will be World Champion

Brandon Size, work rate and power will make him difficult for all in that Division though

Mexicans love inside fighting, no matter how tall they are, look at Chavez Jr, and many others being the best example right now Fortuna " The Towering Inferno ", who is very tall and likes to fight on the inside, this prives machismo and cohones, something you donīt understand....
