Comments Thread For: Victory Boxing Files Lawsuit Against Jaron 'Boots' Ennis

Jaron "Boots" Ennis has virtually been without peer since turning pro nearly three years ago, but the unbeaten blue-chip prospect is finally in for a major challenge-this in a court of law to decipher his current promotional status. A lawsuit seeking Declaratory Judgment Action has been filed by the legal team representing Chris Middendorf, who claims his Victory Boxing Promotions company has a binding contract with Philadelphia's Ennis (22-0, 20KOs).

People think they "OWN" these fighters, this is the part of boxing I absolutely DESPISE. Young fighters do need to be very careful who they sign with and do business with especially early in their careers

This is bad news as I think Boots is the best prospect in boxing period.I know everyone is in love with T Lopez(who is a very good future champ)and other "killer"types but this kid has it all most important DEFENSE and power, speed, good feet ect ect.At least he is young but this is an important time in career as he should be stepping up every fight and ANY breaks are not good.Hope this gets cleared up fast or at least fight's in meantime because he is a future PFP type talent easy and as long as he keeps his desire and proves his chin a bit more(he is good enough to be PFP type without a great one, T Norris)the world is his.
