Comments Thread For: Liam Williams: I Want Tests, I Will KO Anyone in Front of Me

Liam Williams kept hold of his British middleweight title against a former English champion. The Welshman took on and defeated Joe Mullender on Saturday night, exclusively live on BT Sport. Williams, who became a two-weight Lonsdale belt holder back in December, stopped Mark Heffron in something of a masterclass in his last fight.

Williams should be targeting the winner of tonight's Szeremeta/Francillette EBU title fight.

Close, but no cigar. Smith and Williams are domestic fighters at best.

Listen, I like the guy, he has skills and heart. I was praying really hard for him to beat Smith who was way overrated and only got big fights because of politics. How he got a shot at Canelo is beyond me. But if you can't beat an average domestic fighter, and then pretend you'll KO anyone they put in front of you, well...

Liam Smith is a former world champ. Domestic fighter???
Williams has been improving a lot too, i'd like to see him vs Munguia.

Mungo can't box, he's big for the weight, but he eats leather trying to be the bull. I give Liam a good chance with his skill and size. Get Mungo in the UK and I'll bet on Williams.

Oh c'mon man! Smith was never world level. He beat an unknown for a vacant belt. Then defended it against 2 other unknowns until handing it to Canelo.
