Did he? I missed that. Maybe he’s slipping - thought he was great in the last WBSS, would have taken him over Gassiev at that point.

yeah, I was furious because I'd been praising the WBSS as the saviour of boxing, and it was such a bad decision that I had this huge vent about how it's just as political as everything else.


That vent got me a few likes on social media, but the people who liked it were Noel Mikaelian (Briedis opponent that night) BJ Flores (the announcer that night) and a few other pros.

Check it out at your own discretion. Wasn't a particular fan friendly fight, but Mikaelian won in everyones eyes except for the 3 judges

That didn’t turn out to be the case. Briedis would end up winning a unanimous decision on official scores of 116-110, 115-111, and 114-112. Those scorecards stunned ringside announcers, the fans in attendance, and Noel Mikaelian. BLH scored the fight 115-111 for Mikaelian."


EDIT - And before I'm accused by people as hating, check my history. I've always been (and still am) a Briedis fan. he had a bad night, and I felt he was still rewarded and shouldn't have been.

Briedis better show up because if he puts on another piss poor performance like in his last fight, he's getting starched. Christmas came early for him in that one. I got Glowacki taking him in this one.
