  • Comments Thread For: Golovkin: DAZN's Global Vision Perfectly Matched My Goals

As previously reported, DAZN Group Executive Chairman John Skipper announced today that Gennady "GGG" Golovkin will fight the rest of his career on the DAZN sports streaming platform. The six-fight global partnership between GGG Promotions and DAZN will see Golovkin fight twice a year on the platform for the next three years. Unlike many of his recent bouts, Golovkin will no longer appear on pay-per-view.

500 million, enough said. We pushed for a bigger contract and got it. They know we beat Clenelo twice. Golovkin will go for the KO in the third and we retire as the greatest fighter and fanbase of all time. This our year.

Not a fan of this move but expected it. Would have been nice to see ggg, Canelo, Jacobs etc on free tv or basic cable for all to see....that way we grow the sport and it becomes accessible to new fans. But oh well, that’s the way the cookie crumbles. I’ll stick with ESPN and FOX. I’m sure this will upset the ultranationalist chav types who take offense to anything that doesn’t sound like dazn (ie Hearn) worship but oh well, your problem

500 million, hahaha you are very delusional! Canelo 's got the biggest pay guarentee deal in sports history!

I wish he'd have told dazn and canelo to go **** themselves but its easy for me to say when im not the one being offered a huge sum of money. I think its all gonna end badly, unless its very soon he may genuinely get 'lit up like a christmas tree' by canelo in the 3rd one. Even saunders may be too quick on his feet for golovkin soon.

Free tv would definitely grow the sport but your asking Canelo and GGG to pay for that quite heavily . You would need some central governing body like FIFA (also very corrupt) that could gather cash up and use it to subsidise such fights,

Currently we just got a price drop on ppv fights from 70 odd dollars to 10 that's got to be better than where we were with HBO / Showtime .. though again I agree free TV would be better.

All these guys and more are appearing for a single 9.99 per month fee rather than 90 dollars per fight each. I think that's good pretty good value and not something to complain about. There's no way these guys would be appearing on a free network at the end of their careers when they demanding the big money.
