  • Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: Dubois Will Look To Outdo Gorman With Cojanu

NATHAN GORMAN WILL find himself in a curious position when he takes his seat at ringside on Friday night for the occasion of boxing making its long-awaited return to the magnificent Royal Albert Hall. Nathan is heading south to watch his fellow young heavy Daniel Dubois attempt to out-do him in how he goes about the job of quashing the threat of Razvan Cojanu, who the Nantwich man outpointed at the Manchester Arena in December.

Haha! Made me giggle this comment.

Both Dubois and Gorman have some upside, but think they both show limitations too. Dubois has all the natural attributes to be a force at Heavyweight, just think he needs serious work on the core fundamentals. He's also slow and robotic, needs to improve his fluidity. If someone started hitting him back, I doubt he could get out of the way. Gorman, I don't see him reaching World title contention. Just don't think he has the attributes and tools needed. He could probably be thrown in the deep end sooner as I don't see him improving skill-wise much more from this point.

Gorman just doesn't look like a hw champion.
I mean, his face and stuff, he just looks like some guy.

Haha, I was surprised to hear he's only 22! Looks about 30.

Dubois is a good puncher and that's all about him. He's open to be hit himself and is only a matter of time before he meets another puncher

Exactly. And he doesn't look like a hw prizefighter. Looks like a guy working at Wal Mart in electronics.

I know what I mean. Anyway, I wish him the best, I just can't see him beating up a beast like Whyte or Joshua. Heck, if he even gets past Chisora that'll raise some eyebrows.

Yea I agree. I see him being a similar level to the likes of Scott Gammer, Sam ***ton, etc. With the right guidance he might get to European title level, but even that may be a stretch. Funny how they act like Razvan Cojanu is a fringe World-level win. I also hate Warren's method of giving opponents a few weeks notice. Gorman fighting in 2 weeks and his opponent TBA.
