    Erislandy Lara's fight Saturday night drew a slightly higher peak audience than his previous appearance on Showtime, the Boxing Writers Association of America's "Fight of the Year" for 2018. According to viewership figures released by Nielsen Media Research, Lara's 12-round split draw with Brian Castano attracted a peak audience of 530,000. The peak number was drawn toward the end of their main event from Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

            But Davis should have done better number regardless. He should have matched these ratings here.

                People trashing these numbers but go look at most of the ESPN numbers for their fights. They are pretty much on par as these for most of their fights. Yet ESPN is in more homes and according to Arum a better network that reaches more sports fans yet most of his shows don't even crack a million views unless its Crawford or Loma.

                    Those are good ratings for a Cuban showcase. Lara and Ortiz are unknown outside boxing circles so half a mil on a paid premium channel is good.

                    They get paid off on demand views so don’t look to deep into those ratings.
