Comments Thread For: Wilder: Fury's A Boring Fighter, Nothing In America Without Me

Without him, Deontay Wilder wonders how Tyson Fury will become the star on this side of the pond Bob Arum and Fury expect. The WBC heavyweight champion considers Fury's style "boring." The 6-feet-9 Fury's technical skill and intelligence notwithstanding, Wilder doesn't anticipate boxing fans in the United States taking to Fury once Top Rank starts staging his fights at American venues.

Yep extremely boring he has to make up for it by doing silly things in the ring. Ready to see the exciting Heavyweights mix it up Wilder Joshua Whyte

Have to say I'm with Wilder on this.

Fury needs to be in against a big puncher, otherwise he's pretty dull to watch. If he was better at getting guys out of there he'd be much more popular.

This is why I think Arum's investment wasn't particularly astute, personally.

He is boring I can’t lie . I wish he would take risks and try and administer pain to his opponents . Still it’s very intriguing the way he disarms aggressive elite fighters. However, going to the scorecards with tomato cans I don’t think the American public will take to that

I think Wilder is seething that Team Fury did him dirty, I do feel sorry for him but what goes around comes around. He did the same to Joshua when he had an agreed contract but never signed it. He also seems very insecure here talking about Fury and his accent etc. ESPN obviously see enough in Fury to invest in him. I guess they didn't see the same in Wilder.

He isn't going to fight cans. Not for that sums of monies anyways. They would obviously get him one or two tune ups like they should, then they (Watch them) would go on a campaign of ridiculing Wilder/Joshua into fighting on ESPN for loads of money.

Wouldn’t say he’s boring but wilder was definitely the main reason the fight wasn’t boring. Fury is at his best against dangerous punchers.

Pretty sure you’re more likely to find those who say fury is boring but Floyd isn’t. Out of interest do you think fury is boring?
