Tyson Fury had no intention of fighting Wilder next.

Why would Fury - who holds all the chips - feels he needs to make ANY concession for Wilder?

They want the fight strictly on their own terms and conditions. It's because they feel they have the upper hand and more leverage at the bargaining table than Team Wilder does at the moment.

In addition, Bob Arum wants to be the lead promoter; Which is something Deontay Wilder would be very reluctant into doing because after all he is still technically the A side fighter after giving Tyson Fury a voluntary charitable defense which he did not earn.
    So say that then.

Or if not, don't say it's practically a done deal and we are just waiting on an announcement.

We've been told there will be an announcement "next week" for 2 months.

Think so mate yeah even though not really interested in that fight really.

Still be an alright night I suppose. Hearn said he's doing a UK vs USA card for the undercard.

Wanted to be there to see Fury lift the WBC belt especially as commitments meant I couldn't make the first one.

I'm sure they can work out a joint venture after LONG negotiations, maybe.

My point is for as long as Fury's known about this ESPN deal (a while) he's known Wilder isn't next.

So to take us all for mugs for weeks is annoying.

Maybe I'm just annoyed because I wanted to travel and go. I feel like I've been waiting months for no reason.
Have you never heard of a gypsy before? Did you not know Warren was a snake?

I've followed Fury from the start but I would never trust a word he says. Frank Warren's track record speaks for itself, although truthfully I don't think he's done alot wrong here.

PBC/Finkel thought they could take advantage of Warren by relying on a mutual rivalry with Matchroom, forgetting that Warren has a top 3 fighter to look after too.

Fury sold the Wilder fight last time round, my guess is PBC tried to short him of his 50% demand with this WBC 40/60 split purse bid nonsense, so Fury shopped around.

Of course, I understand that. Obviously Frank Warren isn't trust worthy.

I just don't really see the point in stringing the fans along. What did they gain from it?

I agree with everything in your post, am a big fan of his in the ring (Disagree with the whole failed test thing but thats for another topic). But his conduct here isn't a good look.

Prior to this announcement he shut down his social media and that atually makes sense now. Why string Team Wilder along? Make your position clear to them so they can move on, i know people are going to tell me "Its business" but then their is negotiating also when it comes to business and doing it in good faith.

This was a snake move and it would hurt Team Wilder more because they seem relaxed with Team Fury. I cannot wait to hear from Lou di bella. Hoepfully they still want the fight and it goes to purse bid but coming out with statements like "Exclusively" fighting on ESPN makes me think they might not allow Fury to fight on other network if they lose a purse bid.

They didn't care about the fans, obviously.

The only reason I can think of that they kept this in the dark is that they didn't want PBC blowing the trumpet and launching a 'Fury is ducking' campaign like they did with Joshua.

How many times have people tried to warn other in regards to Frank Warren? I mean he didn't just get shot because of nothing.

In a way i wanted to say "We told you so" but this isn't something to be rejoicing about when you know a lot of the fight might be even harder to make now.

True, they even try to do that with the first fight. When rumours were circulating that Team Fury weren't too sure if he was ready for the december 1st fight.
