  • Comments Thread For: Cancio: I'll Fight Davis In Baltimore, Trouble Him With Pressure

Andrew Cancio won a world title near his hometown Saturday night. As great as that felt, Cancio would have no problem whatsoever traveling to Gervonta Davis' hometown to clear up the WBA's 130-pound championship mess. Davis is tentatively scheduled to defend his WBA super world super featherweight title at some point in July in his native Baltimore.

Fair play to him for pulling off the upset, but it’d truly be a case of lightning striking twice for him to beat Davis. I don’t think Davis or his handlers will be that interested anyway.

Why is Canciao talking about Tank Davis? It ain't gonna happen, and there's no need! IBF Champ Tevin Farmer is on DAZN! Cancio should be ringside, ready to challenge him in the post-fight! GBP also has WBO#1/WBA #4 Ryan Garcia in the stable, and they fight at the same weight! If Oscar is going to make Ryan Garcia a star, here's the chance! MAN UP! Lastly, Lamont Roach Jr. is WBO #2 at Super Featherweight! no need to cross the street! Plenty of action happening on your block!

Much props to Cancio for willing to fight Davis... I do believe he'll fight Davis in Baltimore and isn't just talking like some fighters do...
But Davis isn't Machado and I think Cancio would be biting off more than he could chew in a fight with Davis....

Ryan Garcia moved up and fights at 135 now cause he said it was difficult to make 130 so IDK why the WBO still has him ranked at 130...??
But you're right, Cancio can fight Alvarado or Lamont Roach Jr, or even JoJo Diaz so he has plenty of options within his own stable...

Love his story, love his ambition and love his mentality!

That said, Tank isn’t a frail Machado, he has a nasty streak in him and packs more of a punch than Machado!

I think Cancio puts up a good effort for the first 3 rounds and then gets stopped in the fourth!

I forgot about Jo Jo! He did move up to 130! Cancio KO'd Rene Alvarado in 8, back in 2015.

Forget it Cancio, Mayweather's stable doesn't get down like that.

They prefer to fight fights...at the right time.

They prefer to coddle that hype job. ***em.
