Comments Thread For: Gervonta Davis: Lomachenko Fight Will Happen, But At Right Time

CARSON, California Gervonta Davis doesn't intend to mention Vasiliy Lomachenko quite this much. He's asked about boxing the WBA lightweight champion so often, though, Davis can't quite help it. The unbeaten Baltimore native admits, too, that it gets irritating to hear and read so much praise heaped upon Lomachenko, who's commonly considered one of the top two boxers, pound-for-pound, in the sport.

So when Lomachenko is old and faded and not a threat anymore.

Floyd build his career on these cherry picks.

I wonder if Tank will beat Floyd's record of 6 years of ducking one fighter.

“And I don’t wanna keep saying his name because people on social media say I keep saying Lomachenko’s name. But it’s because they have him [ranked high] with only 12 fights, and me and him fought the same opponents."

Do they have more than one same component?

you can't compare Floyd was the older of him and pac Floyd would have smoked him when he was faster and sharper in 2010 which is why he tried to make the fight but Pac didn't want none of it or shall we just adjust history to fit the narrative because of the hate for floyd?

and as for cherry picks name a few fighters with a better resume than Mayweather from the past 10 or so years

sure floyd could have fought a couple of tougher fights in his career but to disregard his whole resume as cherry picks is just hatred

Tank can beat Loma 50/50. Tank should be at 135 in his next fight! Tank talked sense but need mental toughness. Floyd should spar with Tank to make him the new face of boxing. Beat Loma, Mikey, Pac!

Floyd should ask Manny if he would be willing to fight Tank @ 140! Manny called out Lomachenko @ 140! Loma didn't want that work! Maybe Tank would? Tank could fight Manny, then go back to 135! That would boost Tank's profile, win or lose!

... tbh, Davis is green enough in order to avoid such a fight... but it would be interesting to see if he is going to face any other top opposition instead...
