WBO junior middleweight champion Jaime Munguia would like a major fight in the future - and those major opportunities are found in the middleweight division. In May of last year, Munguia was in line to fight then WBC, WBA, IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin.

    Re

Slow down ....steamrolling over these guys is no indication of how he'll react when faced with adversity.

He needs that guy that maybe hits harder. See how he reacts if he gets caught, buzzed.

He needs that guy that shakes his head "no" to his best best shots, the "bring it on" wave in .

They need to find James Kirkland, someone like that, that will give him some push back, before he's put in with the elite guys.

Lmao no. Mungia needs to work on his defense before going against big puncher. Inoue hit him with the same overhand right 300 times and he couldn’t adjust.

Until then, stay at 154 where you can rehydrate to 180lbs block punches with your face

This is a pretty level headed interview from Mungia but sounds like he's being steered in the direction of chasing money rather than legacy.

It doesn't sound like he will be unifying but rather building his record and improving his skills, ready for the big cash out against Canelo as an undefeated fighter.

That win vs Ali, although impressive, is a bit overstated. He looked like a beast in that fight but it's become apparent since that he's very raw. Any fighter who isn't overwhelmed by his size and activity will likely beat him. He's very easy to hit and his skills aren't very polished.

I wish him well, but at MW, SMW.... he'll find his best weapon ~ his size ~ won't do him much good at all. And like it's been said here and elsewhere... not much of a gameplan going there with regard to defense. So we will see what we will see. Vs GGG? He'd do well until that first solid connect from one of those patented GGG bombs he couldn't land solid on Canelo. THEN we'll see what happens with this guy. Best thing is, he's young, and is improving.
