Comments Thread For: Cano in Line For a Big Fight, Linares Heading Back To 135

Mexican junior welterweight puncher Pablo Cesar Cano will be looking for a big opportunity in 2019, after pulling off the biggest surprise outcome of last weekend. He came in as a huge underdog, but he needed only a single round to scored a first round knockout of three division champion Jorge Linares in New York.

Cano is still nothing more than a journeyman but 140 is pretty weak.

Linares should just retire. He has gone as far as his talent will allow him. A 3 weight champion, he had a good run at lightweight, and a big fight with Loma. He needs to just call it a day.

Right move from Linares, might be able to get a rematch with Linares or Campbell

Cano would be a good match for Algieri, Virgil Ortiz or Luke Campbell right now. All interesting fights.
