WBA's attempt to straighten out their Heavyweight situation

I'd like to see them do this with all their regular and interim titles then give the winner a title shot.

Agree. Having a mini tournament once a year (or 18 months) to agree a clear mandatory seems sensible to me. Less so for the silly version of the belt but it reduces the likelihood of the situation where ****** fighters get a shot e.g Stiverne on wilder.

Wouldn’t it be good if wbc did this for the heavyweight?

Big waste of time that doesn't clear up a damn thing. The top 4 are clearly AJ, Fury, Wilder and Whyte. Fury is fighting Wilder. If AJ fights Whyte and the winner fights the Fury vs Wilder winner and there are no draws then you ended up with one undisputed champ.
