    Despite the cancellation of his last fight, former IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux is sill targeting the possibility of a showdown with Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez in 2019. Lemieux's co-promoter Camille Estephan indicated that his boxer is still fully focused on landing Canelo on the Cinco De Mayo date of May 4th, but the contest would have to take place at the super middleweight limit of 168-pounds.

    Now after 10 years of watching Canelo I can actually now say he has fully earned my respect. It’s not easy hating a guy then watching him make you eat your words. He deserves to be at the top just down waste your time with Lemieux. Let Charlo or Danny whoop him for you

              Honestly it has to be Jacobs, Andrade (should he win next fight) or GGG rematch. Hell I'll take the bum killer Charlo at this point. Lemieux cannot follow the Fielding fight!

                Lemieux vs GGG sold very well
                People will believe that theirs that chance of Canelo getting caught
                Not saying it will be a good showing but money wise I think it’ll do great
