On February 9th former super welterweight title challenger Erickson Lubin (19-1) will return to the ring against former champion Ishe Smith (29-10). The fight takes place in Carson, Calif. and will be televised on Showtime underneath the Gervonta Davis-Abner Mares main event. Where is Devon Alexander now? He should fight again! Devon Alexander vs. Jaron Ennis! Let's Go! MAN UP! I like Coach Cunningham better than Virgil HUnter, and I like Ronnie Shields more than them both! I need more Eimantas Stanionis! Ringstar let's go!

Offensively Lubin has it all, Hand Speed, Excellent Jab, Power and he is a Southpaw , just need to clean up his defense and no doubt he will become World Champion! He gets sloppy Defensively because he presses for the KO, that is a issue with a lot of young fighters that is why I think fighters should develop their BOXING SKILLS instead of all these EARLY KO's. I remember Erickson Lubin and Tony Harrison on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights, they was just scoring early knock outs and not really getting in rounds and improving their OVERALL SKILLS

KO Streaks Mean NOTHING and these guys learn that the hard way when it is time to step up vs better competition that they can't just knock out

Still have high hopes for Lubin but need to see if that chin is really Khan-esque or it could be passable. He will need to improve his defense though and use his skills more aside from just looking for the KO. Dude has damn good power for his size as he is one of the smallest 154 pounders out there. Probably could make WW. Really not sure why he didn't try his hand there first.

Either way, Ishe Smith performed well against JRock and had his moments against Harrison. Lubin better bring it and be mentally strong as Smith will test him. If he wins in style? That would a nice little statement there.

Lubin needs to make a statement against Smith, who is tough to look good against due to his veteran tactics and ring IQ!

Still think Charlo just happened to catch Lubin cold and Lubin just made an amateurish mistake!

It’s a reason why Harrison was barely active against Mel Charlo who needs his opponents to come forward or throw punches to be effective!

Ishe is a good fight for Lubin at this stage. I'll be curious to see how he perfoms. I do kinda feel this has potential to be competitive & I feel lowkey there is some live dogness on Ishe here.

I think Showtime will be the home for 154 in 2019.
