Comments Thread For: Spence Laughs at Thurman's 2020 Fight Proposal, Expects Injury

New York - With a big pay-per-view fight upcoming against Mikey Garcia (39-0, 30 KO's) in March, Errol Spence (24-0, 21 KO's) has already started preparing for his showdown. He was on hand to see his stalemate Jermell Charlo lose his title to Tony Harrison last weekend. The two share the same trainer in Derrick James.

"I think Mikey’s the best opponent I’ve faced. He got a title at 140 so he really just moving up one weight class. People going to say what they going to say.”

FACTS! Mikey was the Jr. WW cCahmpion in 2017, just like Crawford was! In fact, I think Mikey's two opponents @ 140 were better than Crawford's opponents at 140! The difference is Mikey went back to fight Easter Jr. @ 135, while Bud fought these 2 bums @ 147! As far as I'm concerned, neither Mikey nor Bud have proven anything @ 147, and they both would be the underdogs vs. Spence Jr.! I just hope Spence Jr. does what Mikey is doing, and calls out Canelo after the fight!

The same two posters on her talking about a fight that will likely never happen lol Crawford will not be fighting on FOX (and vice versa for Spence on ESPN). Just live in reality.

Spence will be going after the 154 champ in 2020 if it's Hurd.

I expect Garcia-Ugas-(maybe Danny Garcia) in 2019 for Spence. After, he'll likely be fighting at 154. He'll be moving up before 30.

Bro! It’s a promotional thing! You no Spence is not making any excuses. Crawford’s promoter BOB ARUM does not like to do buisness with Erol Spence promoter AL HAYMON. A true boxing fan knows this!

I would love to see Crawford vs Spence. Who wouldn't? Imo the two best welters. Both guys know it will be a huge fight, and neither seem to be in a hurry to rush it.

Crawford is fighting either Amir Khan or Collazo next. Spence is fighting Mikey Garcia next. After that, who knows. Thurman, Danny Garcia, and Shawn Porter have shown no interest in fighting Spence or Crawford. Crawford's team sent a $3 million offer to Danny Garcia before they offered $5 million to Amir Khan. No offers to fight Spence yet.

Crawford on fighting Spence: "In the future, it will happen," Terence told TMZ Sports. "But right now, you know, we've got other fights until that one gets bigger."

Spence has said basically the same, but is confident he would win.

“He’s crafty, he’s a switch-hitter, he can box, he can move,” said Spence. “For me, I just feel like I’m bigger. I’m stronger. I’m just as sharp. I have a better chin. I hit harder. I’d just basically beat him up.”

"The question was posed to Spence on avenging his stablemate’s loss and moving up in weight to fight Harrison and Spence replied, “Let’s see if Tony and Jarrett Hurd fight, I’ll fight the winner of them.”

That's what I like to see! If you are willing to fight guys who move up, then you should be willing to move up too!
