Comments Thread For: Josesito Lopez Vows To Take Thurman into Deep Water, Win Title

Welterweight contender Josesito Lopez (36-7, 19 KOs) is not intimated by the odds, when he takes on WBA champion Keith Thurman (28-0, 22 KOs), who is coming off a very lengthy layoff. Thurman has been out of the ring since March of 2017, when he won a twelve round split decision over Danny Garcia to unify the WBC, WBA world titles. He eventually lost the WBC title due to inactivity.

2018 is the year of the underdogs.

Will it be carried over to next year?

      Don't count out Josesito!

Thurman's 2 year layoff might do him in here.

I'm sure Lopez is a better fighter now that he is in his 4th fight with Robert Garcia.
I can see this being a stiff contest for Thurman until the middle rounds,, when he catches Lopez with an overhand right and it's lights out.

Rubbish, another mismatch. Jessie Vargas would have been a decent comeback. The dude wont be fighting for another 7 months and it will be another mismatch. PBC is really coming out with a **** with all these mismatches.

Even as inactive as Thurman has been hes still #1 @147. Very little movement since. Props to Thurman for putting himself in that position. I give Lopez a good shot and I think it's a good comeback fight for Thurman.

PBC matchups are the perfect recipe for upsets.

Your father is the dumbass. Even a blind man know this is a mismatch. Josesito for starters is not a true welterweight you idiot & which known good to great fighter has he beaten since Ortiz you idiot. Hes lost to Maidana, Vargas and even ****ing shot Berto. He ll be lucky if he sees the eight round.
