  • Comments Thread For: Tony Harrison Wants What Charlo Does: An Immediate Rematch

Tony Harrison wants the same thing Jermell Charlo wants: An immediate rematch. "I wanna go straight to Jermell Charlo again," said Harrison, who, like Charlo, is 28. "It's about legacy and pride and showing everybody who the new junior middleweight world champion is."

if jermell charlo didn't win that fight then perhaps I don't know how to score boxing fights..perhaps it's the other way around,"get hit and don't hit " we never know what these judges are looking for as we always say

Harrison sounds like he has the right attitude, that’s for sure. Hope he notches a couple more high profile wins, and banks some good money.

I told him a few years ago I expect big things from him

Tony has many natural gifts and he’s going to be great if or once he put it all together. We were both riding down Livernois in Detroit when I stopped him on his 3 wheeler a few years back but he had a couple set backs but preserverance allowed him to become champ. I told him I’m expecting big things from you kid.

Harrison definitely lost this fight and don't have a choice but to give a automatic rematch. The positives are that he gets a fat raise and possible trilogy.

This was an OPTIONAL defense by Charlo.

A REMATCH clause is always standard on the contract.

So Harrison is not doing anyone a favor to be honest.

There will be more interest in the rematch and he is likely to make more money than he has ever made.

                Welcome to professional boxing!!!

Your eyes see one thing but the score cards tell a different story.

And judges never seem to have to answer to anyone.

As i stated on a different thread, Lara did better against Canelo than Harrison did against Charlo.

                Different outcomes.

                Go figure.

I hope Harrison can get them to do the rematch in Detroit.
