Comments Thread For: David Benavidez: Fight With Ramirez Would Be a War For Full 12

Unbeaten former 168-pound champion David Benavidez called a clash with Mexican southpaw Gilberto Ramirez "an action-packed fight," that "needs to happen" as well as "a war from Round One to Round 12" after watching "Zurdo" retain his WBO crown by majority decision over Jesse at American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Friday night.

Ramirez said he will fight Gvozdyk at 175, Ramirez faded in the 2nd part of the fight against Hart, could be having a hard time making 168 (I am sure he would fight again at 168 if a Canelo fight was offered) but it is probably a good time to move up, Gvozdyk is a formidable opponent, definetely PPV, Not too Worry D. Benavidez at 22 will also be at 175 at some point, I could see both at Cruiser eventually, it will be a great fight whenever, I doubt they fight at 168 though, by the time they build them up to maximize the money they make for the fight, they will have outgrown the division.

That's exactly when Hart started to come on, in the fight, after getting bullied and backed up the first 7 rounds.

Zurdo amazingly slugged out a winning 12th round with only one good arm, sealing the win.
