Comments Thread For: WBC Prez Confident Canelo Would Sell Out Azteca Stadium

The president of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Mauricio Sulaiman, is confident that Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has the level and merits to draw a sellout crowd at Azteca Stadium, which has a capacity of 87,000. Last Saturday night, Canelo captured the WBA "regular" super middleweight title with a three round destruction of Rocky Fielding at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

In the past it was basically impossible because Mexico can't pay canelo the amount he can get in the US especially in Vegas casino's where they pay large site fee and jack up ticket prices. That shyt won't fly in Mexico they can't pay those prices. But with Canelo getting large guaranteed money from DAZN that's less money coming out of pockets of fans to pay his purse and makes it at least possible he goes to stadiums and cities we are not used to seeing canelo in. He can fill up any of these huge stadiums it's about who can pay him to come.

Only Canelo can do that, he can bring all his legacy fights at 160 or even 168 at the Azteca!

I think Lemule will be next for May and either Jacobs or Charlo in September!

WBC prez should be Canelo's promoter. He rides Canelo's jock more than Oscar
