Canelo just won a belt at 168 pounds. Maybe he'll give Lemieux a crack at the title.

This move should have been done 2 years ago. But I don't just blame David but also his management team as well as Golden Boy Promotions.

Lemieux has missed weight I believe 3 times at least and clearly he doesn't show enough discipline in his career to manage himself outside of training camp.

Let him campaign himself at 168 and see what happens.

How about Lemieux vs Tyron Zeuge?

I don't think you can blame any of this on the promoter...
It's up to the fighter himself to stay in shape year round and it's up to his management team to decide the best weight division and best career moves for the fighter,...

Aside from landing the Canelo fight for so.e good $$$ . I don't see Lemieux having much success at SMW with his short arms .

I don't either. That's probably why his team has been hesitant to have him move up to super middleweight...

                This move shouldn't be happening.

Why are they being so ****ing dumb and not taking a few extra months to cut some of the excess fat on Lemieux and get him at a stable weight? He could easily make middleweight if he had proper dieting habits. The dude is fat, he could easily cut 5-7 lbs of fat and suddenly find himself capable of making weight properly. He needs to not balloon between fights cause clearly he sucks at resisting urges.

I think his height will be his weakness link but let's see.

                    Re

I dont see too many elite boxer types in the division, so he could flourish.

I see sluggers like Uzecatgui, Callum Smith...only one I can really see Lemieux have a difficult time with is Benavidez. He'll be outboxed and clowned.

Most of the rest are "get them before they get you" type of opposition.
