Comments Thread For: Badou Jack is Open To Oleksandr Gvozdyk Showdown

Los Angeles - Earlier this month, Badou Jack was an interesting observer at the Staples Center in the media room. Jack, along with countless other media members, watched the contest between Adonis Stevenson and Oleksandr Gvozdyk fight on the screens in the media room.

I honestly believe Badou Jack should be 25-1 right now.

I feel he won every draw on his record. Thank god the Bute one was over turned, that one was the absolute worst. The Periban one was really bad too though.

I think he'd win a decision over Gvozdyk.

lol Gvozdyk is only a better boxer, better defense, punch harder and don't take rounds off.

"At the moment, Jack is reportedly heading in the direction of a clash with Marcus Browne - as part of the Manny Pacquiao-Adrien Broner undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas."

If Jack would’ve gotten every win he deserved that was a draw he’d be in the p4p discussion but it sucks that the judges just don’t like his style!

I don’t know why, he’s a very entertaining fighter when he gets going and is one of the most underrated fighters too!

No pun intended but he’s a jack of all trades type of guy, decent or good at everything but not exceptional at one thing, maybe besides his body attack!

I had him beating Stevenson and I think he would beat Gvozdyk as well but it would be very tough as Gvozdyk showed a lot against Stevenson even though Adonis was likely war torn and obviously old at that point!

175 is one of the best divisions in boxing!

Jack has Browne next which is a great fight and one he should win. I suspect the winner will be mandated so we can potentially expect to see Gvozdyk-Jack over the summer.

Jack really deserved the wins in all those "draws" IMO and though I don't think the Stevenson fight was a huge robbery I felt he just about edged it. Gvozdyk will be hard for him though because he has a bad habit of starting slow and taking rounds off and Gvozdyk gets better and into a rhythm as the fight goes on. He has all the advantages including age and less wear and tear.

I think Gvozdyk stops him in a good fight which he'd learn a lot from. It's the logical next fight in the division. The best champion vs. the best contender.

That's a great fight. I think Gvozdyk can outpoint or KO Jack the akh, either way I favour him clearly.

Jack is a very solid and underappreciated fighter though, he's fought everyone and he is better than his record indicates
