  • Comments Thread For: Daily Bread Mailbag: Wilder vs. Fury Mania, IBHOF, Charlo-Hurd

    A mixed bag from Breadman.
Some astute things, some far from and some ignored.

Saying "Muhammad Ali punched the same exact way" as Fury does is preposterous and I won't bother with a lengthy response.
I would have liked to see a comment that the 9th rd KD is erroneous as it hit Fury on the back of his head. I posted that a KD can only be called from a punch that lands on a legal place..

What do you think are the differences in the way Fury punches and the way Ali punches that makes you disagree with Bread?

Also, there is no instant replay in boxing. If the ref doesn't call it illegal, it's legal.

When you have an even number of rounds, it makes a draw more likely. Championship fights need to be 15 rounds. They should go back to same day weigh ins, too.

Great stuff, Breadman. I really enjoyed reading this. Not that he will ever be anywhere near Ali's level, obviously, but I too do see some similarities in Fury's style to Ali's, especially when he's up on his toes, jabbing. A poor man's Ali maybe, but I do see it. I bet Fury would say he was influenced by Ali in his style.

What fuccing fight was he watching live??
Sure as fucc wasn't the Wilder-Fury fight cause that fight was held in a fuccing arena not a stadium like this fuccing clown said!

Regarding the hall of fame, unusually agree with bread but khan andnhallmof fame should not be in the same sentence. I also don't understand how Corrales can't even get on the ballot but Gatti got in first ballot and had the 5 yr time period waved.

Wilder has been this way since always though. We've even seen Gerald Washington outbox him. Wilder looked bad but it wasn't any sort of new information.
