Adonis Stevenson still in coma, managed to move arm to try to take off respirator

This could be another Prichard Colon situation. Each day in coma generally requires 1 year of rehabilitation. Few days = few years.

"Meeting with Radio-Canada Monday night, Stephanie Drolet, the wife of promoter Yvon Michel, said Stevenson had "a movement of the arm to tear off his breathing apparatus." An encouraging sign for loved ones, even if the battle is not won."

It's an induced coma. They do that to give the person the best chance to recover.

That is a good sign because that is a conscious movement to a stimulus.

The evidence around induced comas is a bit sketchy. The rationale is that you lessen the brains metabolic processes and reduce oxygen demand reducing swelling but there isn’t a lot to say that’s what actually happens.

      Brains are scary man.

Imagine how interesting it would've been? A high profile death like that would've reinvigorated boxing.

it's still going to leave stevenson with irreparable damage. he'll be lucky to walk and talk normally.

they do it as an emergency measure to reduce swelling on the brain, it's a life saving measure and it was done to stabilize his blood pressure, heart rate etc. this will leave him with long term damage.

Don't worry. A coma is a coma. If it had not been induced it would have burst and he would be in a worse coma. They shut his brain off to reduce the swelling around the brain. His brain got fucced and will never be the same again, induced or not.

Still in a coma as of right now = few years of cognitive rehab as a minimum

Ahh cmon.. insaneboxer isnt wishing ill upon some good righteous man. It’s Adonis Stevenson, the scumbag who ****d young girls..

**** is no different than murder in my book. Actually it’s worse. Overpowering a weaker individual to satisfy oneself is the most hideous crime.

I dont give a flying *** about people like that.
