Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury - An Analysis of The Fight

This is one of the freakiest heavyweight matchups in terms of body types. At 6-foot-7 and 6-foot-9 respectively, Wilder versus Fury might go down as the tallest combined heavyweight title fights of all time.

This "He uses his jab effectively as a range finder but it is virtually useless as a stinging, whippersnapper shot to keep opponents at bay." is not true. Wilder used his jab almost exclusively as a range finder against Ortiz, but he has used it as a power jab in Stiverne I and Arreola. He had a broken right hand and torn right bicep and still stopped Arreola.

One quote from Wilder that is very revealing I heard him say in only one interview. He said "Tyson doesn't like to be touched, especially to the body." That indicates to me that he will use the body jab and straight right to the body against Fury who, as everyone knows, has outstanding head movement.

Peter Lim? Zero depth of analysis here.

Good lord, I knew NSB needed 'wraps to step it up again but wow, didn't realize my competition for solid writing was so weak.

Massive bout between two undefeated giants, i can't wait anymore! Not an easy fight for the champ. Fury is by far, the heavier and he's style defensively is so complicated...

Battle of the jab's in the sky

Wilder is fast and really athletic for this division. He could surprise many people if he goes to the distance by winnig a close decision. Deontay punching power kills everybody, so i'm sure that make the difference tonight.

This might go just like Szpilka / Wilder....Fury can make wilder look like a dam fool for most of the night...but that evil right hand of Wilder can , possibly , find its way to Furys big face.......Man..this is a GREAT matchup !!!!!! I still cant pick a winner...anything could happen

              This was my favourite quote

Wilder is one of those guys with a metabolism who could devour a bucket of KFC an hour prior to weigh in but still lose a pound or two.

Wilder has not stopped all 40 of his opponents, I notice this is also being churned out by every media outlet also, because facts sometimes get in the way of hype, but he did in fact go the distance against Stiverne.
